The Travelling Classroom Special includes three weeks of Spanish lessons, Latin dancing, cooking local food, transportation between locations, a instructor/guide that accompanies you while travelling between these three different locations and lodging. Most meals are included as well, except while staying at our school in Bocas del Toro. Friends and partners of students that are not studying themselves are welcome to join the programs. This Special can easily be combined with other programs in Turrialba or at our other locations.

Bocas del Toro has only recently been discovered as a surf hotspot and although it is becoming one of the most popular destinations in Panama it is remarkably uncrowded compared to its neighbor Costa Rica. Bocas del Toro has two distinct surf seasons: winter wet season is from November- March, when the waves can be the biggest, and the short summer season from June – August. These two periods are best for those looking for more advanced surf. The remaining months of April, September and October generally have beautiful weather with small surf. For the beginning surfer Bocas del Toro offers a decent spot for learning how to surf all year long. And because it is in the tropics, the water temperature is very agreeable!
WHAT
3 afternoons of surfing lessons, including transport to and from the beach, the board rental and surf instruction by an experienced teacher.
WHEN
All year long, allthough the best time to surf in Bocas del Toro is from November till March, but there are also some decent waves in June and July.
HOW MUCH
The surfing costs $135 per week and does not include Spanish classes, which leaves you with the flexibility to choose between group, mini-group or private classes.
Bocas del Toro is amongst the most ideal places for learning how to dive and obtaining your PADI. Bocas del Toro has calm water conditions and highly competitive pricing. Scuba diving in the region is easily accessible and offers plenty of opportunity for exploration. Miles of coastline translate into miles of colorful reef and abundant aquatic life bordering each island.
WHAT
A PADI dive course takes 3 or 4 days and consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development: basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore. This includes 4 dives!
WHEN
All year long.
HOW MUCH
The diving course costs $230 and does not include Spanish classes, which leaves you with the flexibility to choose between group, mini-group or private classes.
