Boquete: Home stays
A homestay is an essential part of an immersion Spanish course; only by mixing with the local people and having to speak the Spanish language you are going to do it and learn it naturally!
Maybe you are a bit hesitant but you need to know that our families are used to receving foreigners like you in their homes and making them feel comfortable even if you don’t speak Spanish. They will be able to communicate with you!
The rooms in the homestays are private and have shared bathrooms. The package with our home stays in Panama always includes laundry servce and breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be added if you wish so. Food is typical Panamanian so you will eat rice and beans, chicken, meat and patacones (fried plantains). We can only expect the local family to adapt their cooking a little bit to your specific dietary needs so if you eat for example gluten free, you will need to bring some products to supply the food that will be offered.
To get to your family in Boquete, you first go to the school and the family will be notified to pick you up at the school.
