Visiting Beaches
It’s so easy to be happy on the beach: beautiful views, the feel of the hot sun on you skin, a refreshing swim, an afternoon with friends. The beach is also a great place to truly unplug from your life because electronic screens don’t work that well in the sun! Costa Rica and Panama have stunning beaches on both the Pacific and the Atlantic coasts. Some are quiet with no facilities others are a bit more busy with small places to drink or eat.

One of the beaches in Puerto Viejo are right in town about 200 meters walking from the school. There is also a nice little beach at hand, a bit further, but still at walking distance. We also have Playa Negra and Playa Cocles for the best waves. If you take a bike, you can visit Punta Uva, Playa Chiquita and even Manzanillo where few people will be found!
